There are a handful of weeks each summer that just feel like home — and Carroll County Fair week is one of them. This year, Kunes Auto Group of Mt Carroll is honored to once again stand behind the Carroll County Fair as a sponsor, and we couldn't be more excited to see everyone out at Schell Park in Milledgeville from August 4–8, 2026.
Why the Fair Matters to Us
The Carroll County Fair isn't just an event on the calendar — it's a tradition that's been passed down for generations. Families who exhibited livestock decades ago are now bringing their own kids and grandkids through the gates, and that kind of continuity is worth protecting. At Kunes Auto Group, we've built our business on the same idea: showing up for our neighbors year after year, not just when it's convenient. Sponsoring the fair is our way of saying thank you to the community that's supported our dealership in Mt Carroll, and of investing in something that brings everyone together — farmers, 4-H families, local businesses, and folks just looking for a fun night out.
What to Expect This Year
The fair board has put together another full week of the events Carroll County looks forward to all year:
- Tuesday, August 4 – Illini State Truck Pullers with Tri-County Pullers (Mini Rods), free grandstand
- Wednesday, August 5 – Antique & Farmer Tractor Pull, Tractor Parade, Badger State Tractor Pull
- Thursday, August 6 – T & A Bucking Bulls Rodeo, free grandstand
- Friday, August 7 – Free live music on the grandstand track featuring Burn N' Bush and Cherry Pie, plus a beer garden on the track courtesy of Wally's Playce
- Saturday, August 8 – Kiddie Tractor Pull, Power Wheel Kids Demo Derby, and the always-popular Demolition Derby (ticketed grandstand seating)
Throughout the week, don't miss the 4-H exhibits, Discovery Farm for kids and adults, daily bingo, cake walks, and the judging of everything from livestock to baked goods and floriculture — the heart and soul of a true county fair.
Plan Your Visit
A few details worth knowing before you head out:
- Daily admission is $10, with kids 7 and under free. Season and exhibitor wristbands are also available.
- Carnival wristband sessions run at different times each day, so check the schedule before you go.
- Demolition Derby tickets for reserved grandstand seating must be purchased in advance in the Commercial Building, or a pit pass is available the night of the event for $25.
